Welcome to Camp Woodhaven!

Dear Parents,

My grandfather Charlie DiPietro founded Camp Woodhaven over sixty years ago on land that was part of my great-grandfather’s dairy farm. As a young boy my parents, George and Jeanne DeTellis were the camp directors for many years. I grew up at camp in a small house built on part of the family farm. I have wonderful memories of spending my summers here at Camp Woodhaven. I learned to swim here, play sports, and made friendships with other children that have lasted a lifetime.

Today my wife Paula and I are the directors of Camp Woodhaven. Our two children Michael and Julianne have spent their summers here at camp and now work with us as part of the camp staff. It is our desire that you and your children will become part of the family that we call Camp Woodhaven. Together we have over 60 staff members, many who started here as campers, progressed through our Leaders in Training program and graduated to become camp counselors. Our camp directors are educators who work in the local schools during the academic year. Together we have a team of dedicated staff who are focused on your child having a safe summer of fun at a traditional camp in the country.
