Safety is our first priority!

The pool staff offers each group a daily free swim and informal swim instruction. On Monday of each week, all children are swim tested by the lifeguards before they can swim in the pool. Children that can demonstrate their ability to swim are given vinyl orange wristbands to wear for the entire week. This gives them permission to swim beyond the 3' deep water where there is a dividing rope with buoys. We have a 40 x 70 pool. On the low end there are steps going into 3' of water. We have four lifeguards on duty. Our camp counselors assigned to the children are at the pool with their group at the same time. The counselors rotate and are assigned time when they are pool watchers along with the lifeguards. At camp we do not have any lakes or ponds where children swim. You can also have your child opt-out of pool time and passive activities are offered for these campers at the pool area.
